My Grandma
You are my Grandma, and I love you dearly,
How much I care for you, I will show clearly.
Since I was a baby, you’ve always been there,
Wonderful moments, through the years, we did share.
Lessons on life, by example you taught,
When I searched for advise, you gave me your thought.
In my dreams and ambitions, you would always believe,
When I needed a hat, you would happily weave.
Humorous and loving, a great combination,
Your apple pies, a delicious creation.
Just want to say, you’re dear in my heart,
Even when, we’re far, and apart.

I think Grandma's are wonderful human beings. They are funny, helpful, and they are excellent cooks. I don't want to brag, but my grandmother is 83 years old and she makes the most delicious apple pie that just melts in your mouth. She's also very kind and thoughtful and loving. She is the one person that everyone can rely on. She's very understanding and does not judge.
My grandmother is a truly inspirational lady. She is always smiling and trying to enjoy life. Even though she had a very difficult childhood. She was 12 years old when the Second World War began, and witnessed many family and friends die. I must admit the way that she has lived her life and still living her life inspires me.

I do recall, that I was very close with my grandfathers. One passed away back in 1992 when I was 12 and the other one in 2000. But when I think back, I only have great memories. Even though we lived oceans apart, we had a very close connection. Sometimes I do think about how many more memories we would have created if we did not live so far apart. But than I realize that I need to cherish the memories that I do have, and be grateful for those.
My Grandpa
Grandpa, you are one heck of a guy,
Intelligent and funny, I cannot deny.
Your stories are great and truly gripping,
As you sit in that chair, and brandy sipping.
Half the time, you act like fifteen,
Ready to say, something obscene.
You are passionate and love to debate,
When we go fishing, you always bring bait.
The bottom line, I know that you care,
Your time and love you willingly share.
My love for you, is very strong,

What about your grandfather(s), what makes him unique and special. Think about it for a bit. If you are fortunate to have one or both still around, than I recommend you tell him/them how you feel. A few words with some kind actions could make a huge difference to an elderly persons morale, especially if they are ill.
